The traditional wedding was spiced up pieces other cultures. The afternoon started with a ceremonial “buying” of the bride. The price was a song. The Mayfair Hotel felt like an outdoor venue with huge skylights and bamboo and leaves growing out of every corner. As the ceremony started we could hear the patter of rain on the roof but remained dry and serene. The party started early and lasted into the night and included the groom break-dancing with the groomsmen. The bright and airy Mayfair Hotel and Spa in Miami Florida made an ideal venue for the ceremony.

have you ever been to a wedding where the photographer tells everyone to jump in the air.. ( and you’re wearing 4 inch heels) to get a “good shot”? how about photographers that tell you to “pretend to talk to each other” so it looks like a candid shot of you all talking,… and it’s completely awkward because you don’t know the guy next to you so all you say is ‘how bout them dolphins?’
if you’re the couple that just wants someone to capture the moment… instead of creating a fake moment to capture.. select ceremony peeps = ed and david are your guys!
As a recent bride, I must say that I have nothing but praise for these two dudes. We were planning a Miami wedding from washington DC, so I found most of my vendors online. I found Ed on a photojournalist’s website.. and after meeting him once, we just knew he was the sorta photographer we wanted… he’s completely relaxed, not spacey, and actually listens to you and stays calm as you rant and rave about what you were looking for in a photographer.. so we booked him two weeks after meeting him..
He periodically checked in with us throughout the year to update us on his latest contact information ( which is a lifesaver when you’re still looking for florists who aren’t charging 5K to do your flowers). And when the week of the wedding came, we had a minor email “check-in” and he was at my door at the correct time the day of the wedding.
Now the goods: yes, the pics were all that i was expecting and more. yes, he did the posed family shots ( that most mothers want on their walls and makes like a million of them to pass around to family), yes , he REALLY did real candid shots of people enjoying themselves. yes, he was a gentlemen and didn’t try to sneak a peek at me while i was trying to squeeze into my gown, and best of all : he caught the moments perfectly – without the pics of me chewing on chicken or eating a really hard piece of bruschetta..
so if you’re looking for a good photographer, someone who can compromise with your demanding family, but still put their artistic spin into their photos, choose select ceremony for hassle free photos!
