Eloping in a Hot Air Balloon Above Fort Lauderdale

These photographs require the Flash plug-in.

This weekend we photographed a truly unique wedding.  Bruce and Kyle called us when they decided to elope.  To keep it exciting they hired a balloon from Windswept Balloons and flew up on a Sunday morning with perfect winds.

The morning started early but they were flying as the sun broke through the clouds.  Weight requirements prevented us from flying with them but the ceremony was carried out in the balloon as we followed in a chase car.

Upon landing we popped open a bottle of Champaign and celebrated with chocolate covered strawberries.

David Degner assisted Jonathan Scott with a wedding at the Woodfield Country Club of Boca Raton. Jonathan is a master at moving through the family portraits and efficiently making all the traditional photographs from the ceremony and celebrations.

The Woodfield Country Club was an ideal venue for an outdoor wedding and ballroom celebration. The sprawling lawn looks out on a verdant golf course but the ceremony was never interrupted by other visitors.
